Title Sealed

This project was installed in the Tompkins County Public Library in Ithica, New York. It was part of Unnamable Name, an exhibit that was installed throughout the stacks of the library. In Title Sealed, books were sealed in Tyvek envelopes that bore a logo of the US Department of Homeland Security and text that read “Title sealed pending investigation”. These sealed books were placed randomly on the shelves. Removed for Your Protection placed modified signs indicating the call numbers available on the shelves on 16 shelves in the library. The signs were modified to indicate that Homeland Security has removed some books.
